Iowa Glaucoma Fellowship
Thank you for your interest in our glaucoma fellowship. The glaucoma fellowship is a one-year program beginning on July 1 of each year. We emphasize both clinical and research training in this fellowship. Depending on the interest and funding, an additional year of basic research fellowship may be arranged. Our glaucoma fellowship is AUPO FCC approved.

Recent Fellow Graduates

Dr. Rubin Panvini finished her glaucoma fellowship on June 30, 2020 and has joined the Ophthalmology group at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania.

Dr. Miller finished his glaucoma fellowship on June 30, 2019 and has joined Eye Associates of Colorado Springs, Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Dr. Zhang finished her glaucoma fellowship on June 30, 2018 and has joined the Glaucoma Service of the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Tulane.

Dr. Kam finished his glaucoma fellowship on June 30, 2017 and began private practice with Kaiser Permanente in Seattle, Washington
Dr. Ding finished her fellowship on June 30, 2016 and began private practice at Carolina Eye Associates in Greensboro, NC.

Dr. Chambers finished her glaucoma fellowship on June 30, 2015 and began private practice at Ophthalmic Surgeons & Consultants of Ohio, Columbus, Ohio.

Dr. Aponte finished her glaucoma fellowship on June 30, 2014 and is in private practice at Essential Health, Duluth, Minnesota.

Dr. Tehrani finished his glaucoma fellowship on June 30, 2013 and joined the faculty at the Casey Eye Institute and Oregon Health Science University

Dr. Tienor finished his glaucoma fellowship on June 30, 2012 and began private practice at Arbor Centers for Eyecare, Homewood, Illinois

Dr. Burden finished his glaucoma fellowship on June 30, 2011 and resumed his career as Chairman of the Department of Ophthalmology at the Wilford Hall Medical Center at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas
